Stefan Popov PhD

Stefan Popov (b. 1957) holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Social Science from the New School for Social Research, New York (1996) and from Sofia University St. "Kliment Ohridski". He has specialized in constitutional policy (Vienna, 1994, and Freiburg, 2003), international security (Washington, 1999) and public policy (Vienna, 2011-2012).
He is author of the books "Descartes and the Mathematization of the World" (Altera, 2017), "Atlantis: Disintegration of Political Bodies" (Obsidian, 2016), "Obiectum Purum: Introduction to the Phenomenology of Rene Descartes" (Literaturen vestnik, 2015), "Public Process: A Collection of Articles" (Volume I and II) (Ciela, 2015), "Wittgenstein: Analytic of the Mystical" (Altera, 2018), "NATO and Global Security Regimes in the 21st Century" (Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, 2002).
Stefan Popov is Executive Director of RiskMonitor from 2007. He was Program director at the Center for Liberal Strategies from 1996 until 2004 and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Open Society Institute – Sofia from 2000 to 2006.
