What Changes Are Needed and Why for the Supreme Judicial Council?

RiskMonitor Foundation organizes a discussion “What Changes Are Needed and Why for the Supreme Judicial Council?”  The discussion will take place on Tuesday, March 20, at 9.30 in the Yellow Room of Radisson Hotel, Sofia. This event comes on the eve of the debates for new changes in the Judicial Power Act, in particular the texts concerning the capacity of the Supreme Judicial Council to warrant the independence of the judiciary. Guests and participants in the event include representatives of public institutions, experts, NGOs and organizations engaged in the reform of the judicial system. Discussion topics will focus on the scope and content of the proposed legislative changes, with the aim to articulate concrete proposals which could become part of the overall conception for the future reform in the judiciary.
