Directorate AFCOS - Ministry Of Interior

The Directorate ( its full name being "Coordination of Fight against the Infringements Affecting the Financial Interests of the European Union") is the local contact point of the European Anti-Fraud Office OLAF.

It receives signals of fraud and irregularities related to EU financial interests and sends them for further investigation to the competent authorities. AFCOS reports irregularities and fraud at the national level to OLAF and assists its agents in carrying out investigations and on-the-spot inspections.

The Directorate also carries out checks on the implementation of procedures relating to reporting irregularities.
