The Report presents the results of  an empirical research on the topic "Institutional capacity of the National Assembly to participate actively in the conduct of policies to combat organized crime and political corruption".

The study was conducted within the project "New Policy Responses to Organized Crime: The Bulgarian National Assembly as a Proactive Policymaker", sponsored by the Think Tank Fund - Budapest. The results are based on in-depth interviews with 20 experts in the field of fight against organized crime and corruption. The text sets out key questions on how the National Assembly as an institution where Bulgarian political life is focused, can be effective in combating an endemic for the same political life phenomenon as corruption.
