Ratko Mladic at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia Tribunal (ICTY)

On 3.06.2011 the former Bosnian Serb general made his first appearance in the courtroom. He faces charges in crimes against humanity. Aged 69 and apparently ill, he was arrested and extradate to the Hague by the Serbian authorities at the end of May 2011. Mladic,who served as Cheif of Staff of the Bosnian Serb Army during the Bosnian War, is under suspicion for the massacres in Srebrenica and the atrocities in Sarajevo.
