CIVILISC project - Monitoring and consultancy visit to Albania, May 23-26, 2018

Between 23 and 26 May 2018, RiskMonitor together with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (Tirana) conducted monitoring and consultancy visits in three towns in Albania. The visits were planned as part of the capacity building activities under the project CIVILISC. The aim of the visits was to see the implementation of the second round of funded projects and to provide consultations to the sub-grantees.

The second part of the visit involved participation in the discussion meeting, which gathered over 80 CIVILISC and PACT sub-grantees in Europe House in Tirana to share lessons learned and challenges regarding the sub-granting mechanism and the instruments to help CSOs to work for good governance at local level.

The two grant-making actions are funded by the EU Delegation in Albania and received an overall support for both projects - CIVILISC and PACT - of more than EUR 900.000 for 70 initiatives in 27 small/remote municipalities in Albania.
