18.04.2011
The Commission for Establishing of Property Acquired from criminal activity (CEPACA) will give the Treasury the writ in winning a case with Dimitar Zhelyazkov (Mitio "the Eyes"). On March 23 the Supreme Court confirmed the decision of the Burgas Appellate Court, which decrees the confiscation of a property worth 2 357 883 leva in favor of the state.
The investigation against Zhelyazkov started in April 2007. The Commission filed a civil case in March 2008. The defendant was convicted of first instance and Burgas Appellate Court allowed the sentence into effect. A list of the seized property was published in a Commission's communication from 18.04.2011.
