The large number of victims of trafficking coming from Bulgaria is an indicator for the problems that exist in our society in the recent years. Poverty, unemployment, problems in family and education and the lack of future prospects for the young, all play their role in the development of this phenomenon. The economic and social conditions in the country over the recent years have become a favorable environment for large scale human trafficking and organized crime.
