Monitoring and Assessment of Trial Cases of High Public Interest

The project aims at an objective and ubiased analysis of the institutions involved in pre-trial proceedings, as well as of the Court. using 16-to-20 trial cases of high public interest related to organized crime and institutional corruption in Bulgaria. The research is a rsult of 12 month process of monitoring carried out by RiskMonitor experts by following a novel methodology for monitoring and analysis.The monitoring focuses mainly on procedural conduct of the parties and participants in criminal proceedings, and the process of submission and evaluation of evidence. Measures to overcome the difficulties of identification, proof and punishment of crime figures will be identified.
