29.01.2009(2009-2010)
Malfeasance in office is the most widespread type of abuse of power. Yet, ever since this problem was identified, the justice system has been paralyzed in dealing with it. The project aims at improving investigators and prosecutors methods applied in cases relating to malfeasance in office and help them overcome institutional and professional malfunction. Activities include collection of practices and court decisions, policy analysis of malfeasance in office cases with charges dropped or acquittal verdicts, comparative study of legislation and practices in the European Union, preparation of manuals and educational material, presentation of project results.
